AFC East draft / free agency report

1)Buffalo bills -

already the 2nd best offence in the AFC in ppg, the bills added top prospect TE Dalton Kincaid in the draft & WR Deonte Harty in free agency plus guard O'Cyrus Torrence also in the draft. These should all plug & play to help the offence fire. The only area of need left on offence is at RB with Damien Harris replacing Devin Singletary & the question mark of availability at the position now. On defence they lost tremaine edmunds to the bears but may cope with Dorian Williams from the draft. Safety is sorted with guy's returning but I still am slightly worried about their secondary under pressure but they're banking on the pass rush sorting that out.

2) Miami Dolphins-

Miami were right on the bills tail last year until Tua got hurt. In fact that very sentence may sum up the dolphins chance this year too! They lost their top pick in the draft but managed to add Jalen Ramsey in free agency to help out new D/C Vic Fangio. Top draft pickups were RB Devon Achane & CB Cam Smith, who should help out. Last season Miami struggled with getting picks & these pickups are sure to help there. Which brings us back to the key point as to whether Tua is going to be fit and for how long. He's clearly put weight on especially in the lower body to help with that but with concussion one can't be sure, the dolphins chances may rely on him staying on the field.

3) New England patriots-

Solid in both the draft & free agency the patriots continue to retool their roster & crucially they still have bill belichick as coach & added bill obrien as O/C to finally replace josh McDaniels. Additions I like are WR JJ smith schuster Mike geisicki & kayshon boutte WR. Mac Jones remains under centre & how his 3rd season goes may well determine how they go with his regression last year an oblivious concern. I like the roster & of course they're well coached.

4) NY Jets-

Huge changes in gang green this off season, headlined by the addition of twice MVP Aaron Rodgers WR Alan Lazard & Mecole Hardman look on paper like huge gains. It is however worth noting that Rodgers will be 40 by the time the season starts & they lost some guys too in Moore, smith & berrios (to div rival dolphins). They have a tough schedule & I suspect a year if bedding in rather than a division title push.
