The top division for the US tv networks which has no repeat winner since 2004. Plenty of prime time games especially on SNF and here’s our 5/1 prediction for the season ahead.
Philadelphia eagles - the wheels fell off in spectacular fashion in the last quarter last season after the defeat to San Francisco. However changes have followed with Kellen Moore in as OC & Vic Fangio as DC. On the playing side they lost hassan reddick & jason Kelce but they brought in Bryce huff & saquon Barclay whilst developing cam Jurgens to replace Kelce. It was a season of changes especially bearing in mind they were 10-1 at one stage. We think they may regain the division but perhaps more down to the other teams not doing enough in their off season.
Dallas cowboys - last seasons winners have stood still & possibly got worse than last year, Tony pollard has gone to the titans & Zeke has come back in after a poor year in New England. Very little activity in free agency & draft picks used to strengthen the OLine after losses didn’t inspire for improvement. Dak is off a career year & still they laid an egg in the playoffs. We think they’ll struggle with their schedule & it’s second but still playoffs for us.
Washington commanders - new GM Adam Peters has been busy in the off season bringing in Jayden Daniels with the no2 pick. Free agency saw clelin ferrell, Austin ekeler, Bobby Wagner, Dante fowler & Zach ertz among others join too. New coach Dan Quinn leads a clean house under owner Josh Harris but we expect improvement from a 4 win season & a record above 500 would be a good return.
New York giants - Brian Dabolls team took a drop back last season, not helped by the loss of QB Daniel Jones with several injuries. The loss of Barclay to a division rival will also hurt this team. However top pick Malik nabers has deep play field flipping potential that they’ve not had in a while. Free agency didn’t see any blockbuster deals so we feel this is an evaluation year for jones & the G Men may even benefit from a high draft pick for a QB.
