NFC East prediction

A fascinating division coming up this year with heavy spending in Philly, Dallas aiming to be the first repeat winner in almost two decades, new name & QB (again) in Washington plus the high drafting Giants…

1). Philadelphia - winning record (just) last season despite losing twice to Dallas. The Eagles have added WR AJ Brown to last years rookie DeVonta Smith & a host of defensive free agents, Fletcher Cox, Derek Barnett, James Bradbury & Kyzir White plus draft pick Jordan Davis. They should improve but questions remain over Jalen Hurts, however they may just shade the division if they can get past Dallas.

2). Dallas - last season’s division perfect and easy winners have lost two key O-Line elements & left tackle Tyron Smith is missing time with injuries nowadays. Dak Prescott will continue to use Cee Dee Lamb & Trevon Diggs is a ball hawk on defence so they will be a playoff contender at least, but may miss out on the division to Philly.

3). Washington - new name, new logo, new QB in former Eagle/Colt Carson Wentz. Still a stellar defensive line with Montez Sweat & Chase Young & if they stay fit they’ll wreak havoc. WR Terry McLaurin & draft pick Johan Dotson have been added to help Wentz. Areas of concern remain the O-Line & the secondary which weren’t great last year, with the latter not really being addressed in the off-season. Playoff chances if Wentz performs & of that D-Line.

4). New York Giants - new head coach Brian Daboll will hope to find the next level from Daniel Jones & rekindle Saquon Barkley back to his pre injury levels after his success with the Buffalo offence last season. A great first round draft with Evan Neal at 7 & Kayvon Thibodeaux at 5, both players were legitimate number 1 overall picks at various stages in the draft process. The loss of Bradbury & Evan Engram will hurt & it may be a growing pains season for big blue, with improving on last seasons 4 wins a starting point.
