Home of the defending champion Rams, beaten NFC title game 49ers, the air attack cardinals & the rebuilding seahawks.
). San Fransisco 49ers - it’s a two spot jump for the 49ers for me. Trey Lance has been installed as QB replacing Jimmy G, so there may be some growing pains but the ceiling is high. Deebo Samuel has signed a new deal & the acquisition of Charvarius Ward has helped the secondary. The question mark is the interior of the O-Line with Tomlinson gone in free agency & Alex Mack retired, the sophomore Aaron Banks will need to step up. Playoff place & division title for me.
). Los Angeles Rams - still very strong with best WR in the game in Cooper Kupp & Alan Robinson added to the mix. Addition of Bobby Wagner sure helps the defence. However Von Miller went to Buffalo & OBJ is unlikely to be back. It’s always hard to repeat but they remain in win now mode, however of slight concern is Matthew Stafford’s elbow injury that is described as needing managed, never really a great strategy! Playoff place but no repeat title for me.
). Arizona Cardinals - last years division runners up had a chastening experience in the playoffs with 7 straight three & outs ruining their chances. The off-season hasn’t been much better with DeAndre Hopkins suspended 6 games & even the good news of Kyler Murray’s new contract came with a ridiculous addendum about film preparation time which was later removed but clearly shows issues. Hollywood Brown is a good addition & they’re still talented so playoff shot here.
). Seattle seahawks - the trade of Russell Wilson looks like a reset & rebuild here, Noah Fant (part of the trade) is a good addition & DK metcalf has signed a new deal too. However the loss of Bobby Wagner coupled with a tough schedule & geno smith winning the QB battle with Drew Lock doesn’t bode well. As always they’ll be competitive but 4th place in this tough division unless the rookie crop is a vintage one.
